Sharing the Love of Dance with Students

Treat your students to an unforgettable experience with contemporary and traditional dance. Under the direction of founder and executive artistic director Allyne D. Gartrell, the Atlanta Dance Connection has a history of arts education excellence. Our arts-in-education residencies and outreach programs are designed to build critical thinking skills, connect youth to themselves and their own culture, and invigorate the educational process by building connections between the construction and execution of dance as an art form and traditional learning techniques. Each year, Atlanta Dance Connection exposes children to the dance forms of ballet, modern, jazz, hip-hop, and African dance.

New Friends Through Dance

Want to make new friends by sharing the joy of ballet, jazz, and African technique with students of all ages? New Friends Through Dance is an educational program taught by the dancers of Atlanta Dance Connection. The program ends with a special presentation for parents, school staff members, and friends.

Dance: A Universal Language

Dance: A Universal Language is an informational, interactive demonstration and discussion of the different dance disciplines with history and descriptions of the movements provided by our artistic director as the dancers perform. This on-campus, fun-filled lecture demonstration concludes with selected dance numbers from Atlanta Dance Connection's repertoire. Student participation is included, and a question-and-answer session with the dancers follows. Book this program today!

Community Classes & Partners

Learn from the best at one of our community classes. These classes are open to dancers of all ages and skill levels. They take place every Tuesday and Thursday at Tri-Cities Visual & Performing Arts, starting at 7:00 p.m. The cost is just $15.
