Founded in 2000 by Allyne D. Gartrell, the Arts
unlimited Project is a nonprofit 501 c3 organization which is the umbrella institution for the Atlanta Dance Connection, Milwaukee
Dance Connection, and the Jessie M. Gartrell Scholarship Fund.
Bridging the
gap between classical Ballet and traditional African dance, the Atlanta Dance Connection’s mission is to create and
produce art, entertainment, and education at its highest level, while providing a venue for established, emerging artists
to showcase their work. Public performances, educational programs, and artistic collaborations serve as the impetus for the
Atlanta Dance Connection’s vision.
With an ever-expanding national and global audience, the
company is comprised of ethnically-diverse artists who perform for a wide range of demographics. ADC currently presents 2
public performances in the city of Atlanta, while touring nationally and internationally. Current repertory includes the ballets
of Allyne D. Gartrell, BaBa Chuck Davis, Richard A. Freeman Jr., Ray Mercer, Christopher Huggins, and Kevin Jackson
to name a few.
“Though your beginnings are small your later end
shall greatly increase.” Celebrating 12 years of Artistic Excellence the Atlanta Dance Connection, under the direction
of Allyne D. Gartrell, consists of 10 artists from around the nation performing a mixed repertory of dance, drama, live instrumentation and vocal music. Master classes and Lecture Demonstrations are
just a few examples of how the company gives back to Atlanta's Dance Community.
